# How To Make:

01 - In a stand mixer or using a hand mixer, whip the softened butter with the olive oil until pale and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
02 - Fold the flaky sea salt, chopped chives, chopped parsley and lemon zest into the whipped butter until evenly distributed.
03 - Using a spatula, spread the whipped butter in a thick, decorative layer across a clean wooden board or serving platter, smoothing edges as desired.
04 - Drizzle the honey evenly over the butter to create a contrasting sweet note and glossy finish.
05 - Scatter the toasted nuts, pomegranate seeds and drained capers across the surface, then finish with freshly ground black pepper and chili flakes if using.
06 - Top with microgreens or edible flowers for color and a fresh herbal lift.
07 - Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices and assorted crackers or flatbreads for spreading and dipping.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Spreadable butter covered with sweet, salty, and tangy surprises is the ultimate party trick.
  • You can riff on the toppings and serve it every season, so it never feels tired.
02 -
  • If the butter isn’t truly room temperature, it won’t whip, and you’ll end up fighting a losing battle with the mixer.
  • Leaving it out of the fridge too long makes the butter oily and the board messy, so serve just after making for that magic texture.
03 -
  • Always taste your butter before spreading; it’s easier to adjust seasoning at the start than later on the board.
  • A sprinkle of lemon zest after plating makes the flavors pop and keeps things tasting bright.
