# What You Need:
→ Chocolate Layers
01 - 7 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
02 - 7 oz high-quality white chocolate, chopped
→ Peppermint Topping
03 - 6 peppermint candy canes or hard peppermint candies, crushed (about 1/2 cup)
→ Optional
04 - 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
# How To Make:
01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or arrange 12 silicone snowflake molds.
02 - Melt the semi-sweet or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
03 - If desired, stir 1/4 tsp peppermint extract into the melted dark chocolate.
04 - Pour melted dark chocolate into molds or spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet to a 1/4-inch thickness. Tap gently to level the surface.
05 - Refrigerate for 15 minutes until the dark chocolate is set.
06 - Melt the white chocolate in a clean bowl using the microwave or double boiler method as before.
07 - If desired, stir 1/4 tsp peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate.
08 - Pour the melted white chocolate over the set dark chocolate layer and spread evenly using a small offset spatula.
09 - Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies immediately over the white chocolate and press lightly to ensure adherence.
10 - Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes until fully set.
11 - Remove from molds or break into snowflake-shaped pieces. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
