Vanilla Pudding Crushed Oreos (Print Version)

# What You Need:

→ Pudding

01 - 2 cups whole milk
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/4 cup cornstarch
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 2 large egg yolks
06 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
07 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

→ Topping

08 - 10 Oreo cookies, crushed
09 - Whipped cream (optional)

# How To Make:

01 - In a medium saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
02 - Place saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually whisk about 1/2 cup of the hot milk mixture into the yolks to temper them.
04 - Pour the tempered yolk mixture back into the saucepan, whisking continuously, and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the pudding thickens.
05 - Remove from heat and stir in unsalted butter and vanilla extract until fully incorporated and smooth.
06 - Pour pudding into serving glasses or bowls. Allow to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes or chill for at least 1 hour to set.
07 - Before serving, sprinkle crushed Oreos over the pudding and optionally top with whipped cream.
